Todo samples for Create and Craft!

I am still loving my Todo and so much to do with it.  I have been lucky to be able to play with some of the new Todo sets from Create and Craft and they are just gorgeous and so useable.  Todo at C&C

I love my Todo

I love my Todo - I have always love foiling in cards and tried other methods with some degree of ease and effect but when this machine was at a bargain price, I couldn't resist and am becoming addicted to it.

It is just so easy to use and they effects are great.

These projects have been made by foiling after heat embossing a stamped image and foiling after using texture paste through a stencil!  This doesn't work every time for me but love it when it does!

Cutie Owls!

I love owls.  Mum used to collect everything to do with owls and had hunters of them - all sorts of things. I wanted to make some pincushions for Christmas presents and also some doorstops for me.  I downloaded a free pattern as a template for the pincushions and just enlarged it for the doorstops -  Owl template

My Fiskars scissors and rotary cutter made this an easy task - I use them every day.
I don't know if anyone makes new year resolutions? Mine as every year are to lose weight get more active but this year the main one is to use more of my crafty stash and not to keep being tempted by sales or the latest trends - we will see how this goes.

Christmas cards

HI really enjoyed making these Christmas cards - they are simple and yet effective.  I love making Christmas cards - a chance to send messages to loved ones and friends who live far away.  We don't write many letters anymore so sending and receiving messages through the post is special to me.  I always love the time the postie comes to the door and the anticipation of what might be coming, luckily not to many bills come through the post!  We are almost ready for Christmas - we will be spending time with family and enjoying good food in great company.  It is always tinged with sadness that mum won't be here - but have so many great memories of previous Christmases.

Theses cards were made by matting and layering decorative papers onto the card and the Christmas tree is made by cutting a circle in half and folding to form the tree.  I use my Fiskars trimmer and scissors and the Fiskars fuse and fuse circle die to make life easy.
